Event information

The Summer Feeling organising team is currently working flat out to get the event site ready for all visitors by the start date on June 13. You can find the latest information about your visit here

You can find our emergency plan here, which includes instructions, guidance, the locations of defibrillators and emergency contact numbers in case of an emergency.

If you'd like to find your way around the campus, you'll find a campus map here.

AccessibilityHide

To ensure that everyone can take part, we are working to provide a dedicated quiet room and comprehensive signage to make the event site as accessible as possible. Unfortunately, however, it is not possible to ensure full accessibility in all areas. So please do not hesitate to speak to our team if you need any assistance.

AlcoholHide

We would like to point out that Summer Feeling is not a drinking event. Whilst there will, of course, be a selection of alcoholic drinks available, we ask that you consume them responsibly. We will not serve any further alcoholic drinks to anyone who is heavily intoxicated.

AwarenessHide

We want Summer Feeling to be a place where everyone feels comfortable, safe and respected. That is why we have implemented a comprehensive awareness programme designed to actively combat discrimination, boundary violations and (sexual) violence. Our trained awareness team will be on hand throughout the event to support all visitors. Anyone who feels uncomfortable, needs support or experiences a situation where personal boundaries are crossed can approach the team in confidence at any time. Our focus is on listening, respect and the needs of the person affected. Our principles are clear:

  • Consent and mutual respect
  • Solidarity with those affected
  • Treating one another with respect and without discrimination

We use the code phrase “Is Luisa here?”. Use this to speak to someone from the Awareness Team (in pink vests), the organising team (green, branded Summer Feeling T-shirts) or security, so that you can be helped quickly and easily. We have set up quiet rooms for all concerns and can refer you to a professional support service in the best possible way. Together, we want to create an event where consideration, responsibility and respectful interaction are a given.

In emergencies, you can contact this number: +49 177 3168364

BicyclesHide

To encourage eco-friendly travel to Summer Feeling, there are plenty of bike racks in the immediate vicinity of the event site. Please park your bikes in the designated bike parking areas so that escape routes and access paths can remain clear.

Cash or Card?Hide

You can pay directly at the relevant stalls on the event site. As well as cash, card payments will also be accepted at selected stalls. Please note, however, that not every stall accepts card payments. The relevant stalls will be clearly marked on the event site. We therefore recommend that you bring enough cash with you. If necessary, you can use the cash machine at the upper entrance to the canteen.

DepositHide

Wherever possible, we use reusable plates and cups at our catering stations. Please return them to the designated collection points after use to get your deposit back.

Free AdmissionHide

The Summer Feeling site and our extensive programme of events are free for everyone to enjoy, so you don’t need tickets. However, advance registration is required for a few specific events (e.g. sports tournaments, pub quizzes, beer pong tournaments, etc.).

Glass bottlesHide

Glass bottles are not permitted on the event grounds due to the risk of breakage. Please place any bottles you bring with you in the designated crates provided.

InclusionHide

The Summer Feeling should be accessible to everyone. Regardless of any physical, intellectual, mental or sensory impairments, everyone is warmly welcome here. We see diversity as an asset and aim to break down barriers as much as possible. We recognise that not every disability is visible and that everyone has different needs. That is why we focus on attentiveness, openness and mutual respect.

For us, inclusion means:

  • Enabling participation for all
  • Offering support, but not imposing it
  • Communicating on an equal footing
  • Taking individual wishes and needs seriously

On the event site, there are accessible facilities and staff on hand to help with any questions or support needs. Please contact the Awareness Team (in pink vests), the organising team (green, branded Summer Feeling T-shirts) or security. Our aim is to create a place where everyone can feel part of the community.

Morning sport at the University BeachHide

During the week, there will be a morning exercise programme on several days in collaboration with the University Sports Department. No prior registration is required to take part. You can find the dates in the programme.

Noise ProtectionHide

The Summer Feeling event should not disrupt university operations or disturb the surrounding residential areas. The volume will therefore be kept to a reasonable level. Please be considerate of others when making your way home after evening events.

RestroomsHide

Toilets are available in the adjacent university buildings (RW II, NW II and GW I) until midnight. There are also accessible toilets. Please follow the signs to find the nearest toilet.

Smoking AreaHide

We ask all smokers to use only the designated smoking area (see site map) so as not to disturb other event participants. Please ensure that you dispose of cigarette butts properly and do not throw them on the ground, especially not in the sand. Please use the ashtrays provided for this purpose.

Waste SeparationHide

To minimise the environmental impact of Summer Feeling, several recycling points have been set up across the event site. Here, you can sort your waste into waste paper, packaging and general waste. Please make sure you use the correct bin to help us with our recycling efforts.
