Sports tournaments at the University of Bayreuth

Beach volleyball, roundnet, or beach soccer?

No matter what sport you are talented at, at Summer Feeling you can prove your skills on the sand together with your fellow students. In June 2026, the University of Bayreuth will hold internal championships in these three beach sports on the university beach.

Registration is open until May 24, 2026, on a first-come, first-served basis. You can register via the respective Google Forms link. One registration per team by the team captain is sufficient.

German University Championships and adh-Open

The German University Championships are returning to Unistrand, and this year we’re also welcoming the adh-Open for the first time!

In 2026, Germany’s top college beach volleyball and beach soccer players will once again be coming to Bayreuth, as we will once again be hosting the German College Beach Volleyball Championships and, for the first time, the dhm Open in beach soccer as part of the Summer Feeling event at Unistrand.

UBT Summer Smash (beach volleyball)Hide

June 15 & 16, 2026

June 15: Mixed
June 16: Women’s/Men’s

Matches will be played 2-on-2

Entry fee: €65 per team (includes a custom jersey set and other benefits)
Registration deadline: April 24, 2026
Teams: 12 women’s, men’s, and mixed teams of 2 players each
If one person plays in both tournaments, a €5 fee applies for the second registration

UBT Roundnet Cup Hide

Registration fee: €15 per team
Registration deadline: May 24, 2026
Teams: 24 teams of 2 players each

adh-Open Beachsoccer Hide

June 19, 2026

Games will be played 5-on-5, 1 x 12 minutes each (group stage)

Registration fee: €320 per team (includes a set of custom jerseys and other benefits)
Registration deadline: May 22, 2026
Teams: 16 teams of 10 players each
Divisions: Women’s, Men’s, Mixed

Matches will be played 2-on-2

Registration fee: €89 per team (includes a set of custom jerseys and other benefits)
Registration deadline: May 27, 2026
Women: 16-team main draw
Men: 24-team main draw
DVV ranking is required (as of May 25, 2026)

The tournament will be played 5-on-5

Teams: 16 teams of 10 players each
Registration fee:
- €320 per team (includes a set of custom jerseys and other benefits) or
- €32 per player for teams with fewer than 10 players
