Summer Feeling at the University Beach 2026 – we're back!
From June 13 to 26, 2026, Bayreuth’s largest student-organized event returns to the Campus Rondell! With hundreds of tons of sand being brought in to transform the heart of the university into a unique beach landscape, you can look forward to plenty of sports, culture, and summer fun across twelve themed days!
Are you interested in not just experiencing the Summer Feeling, but also being a part of it and actively helping to shape it? Then we’re looking for you! As a volunteer, you can support us in many different areas and you get to choose which ones. You can find more details here. During the event, we’ll provide you with your own volunteer shirt and meals. Afterward, you’ll receive an exclusive goodie bag and, of course, a certificate recognizing your dedication.

Sports
Whether it’s the electric atmosphere of a stadium-style beach setting at the public viewings for the World Cup, high-level matches at the German University Beach Volleyball Championships or fun and action at university tournaments – we have something for everyone.
Culture
From the Rotmain-Center Childrens and Family Day to the big Homecoming and the Campus-Festival150, held as part of the 150th anniversary of the Bayreuth Festival – a wide range of side events will offer the approximately 35,000 expected visitors a variety of daily programs featuring different musical acts.
Lifestyle
The Maisels Weisse beach-style beer garden, food service, and a lounge area filled with lounge chairs create the feeling of a mini-vacation right in the middle of the university routine. To keep the Summer Feeling tradition – which has been going strong since 2012 – alive, the Summer Feeling team, made up of about 50 students majoring in sports economics, media studies, and cultural studies, has been working nonstop for nearly a year to ensure another summer full of unforgettable moments in Bayreuth’s largest sandbox.
