Summer Feeling at the University Beach 2026 – We're coming back to the heart of the campus!
From June 13 to 26, 2026, Bayreuth’s largest student-organized event returns to the Campus Rondell! With hundreds of tons of sand transforming the heart of the university into a unique beach landscape, twelve themed days filled with sports, culture, and summer vibes await you!
Are you interested in not just experiencing the Summer Feeling, but also being a part of it and actively helping to shape it? Then we’re looking for you! As a volunteer, you can support us in many different areas and you get to choose which ones. You can find more details here. During the event, we’ll provide you with your own volunteer shirt and meals. Afterward, you’ll receive an exclusive goodie bag and, of course, a certificate recognizing your dedication.

Sports
Whether it’s the electric atmosphere of a stadium-style beach setting at the public viewings for the World Cup, high-level matches at the German University Beach Volleyball Championships, the adh-Open in beach soccer, or fun and action at university tournaments – we have something for everyone.
Culture
From Children’s and Family Day to the grand Homecoming and the Campus Festival as part of the 150th anniversary of the Bayreuth Festival – a wide range of side events will offer the approximately 35,000 expected visitors a variety of musical acts and supporting programs every day.
Lifestyle
A beach-style beer garden, food service, and a lounge area filled with lounge chairs create the feeling of a mini-vacation right in the middle of the university routine. To keep the Summer Feelings tradition alive, which has been around since 2012, the organizing team of 50 students majoring in sports economics, media studies, and cultural studies is hard at work planning to ensure another summer full of unforgettable moments in Bayreuth’s largest sandbox.
